At Habitat for Humanity Sumner County, we know from experience that Home Ownership changes people's lives. The need for affordable housing in our community is significant. Which is why, together, we must build.

Together We Build – Our Comprehensive Plan

Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County has developed a two-year, comprehensive strategic funding and building plan, "Together We Build," for 2019/2020.

This timely and well thought out plan includes a tremendous amount of work including infrastructure development on property already owned by HFHSC and the building of 10 new Habitat homes over the next two years.

The fundraising goal for the Together We Build plan is $800K.

The property development portion of the plan provides $300,000 to complete infrastructure of a cul-de-sac neighborhood project including roadways, water lines, electric power and gas lines, and the surveying and engineering of lots, none of which exist on the property at this time; and $500,000 which establishes ten $50,000 sponsorship home builds throughout the time period.

The timeline for this plan is to begin infrastructure development in Spring 2019, to complete the infrastructure by April 2020, and to begin new home construction on these lots in the Spring of 2020.
